KCCA FC gets a bye at the preliminary round of CAF confederation cup.

The 13 times Uganda premier league Champions and Uganda’s representative in the 2020/21 CAF confederation cup (CAF CC), KCCA FC won’t play in the preliminary round of the competition due to their impressive run they had in past CAF competitions.

Following the CAF Competition draws that were held on 9th November 2020 in Cairo, KCCA FC was placed to start the campaign in the first round.

And will play the winner of the fixture between Orapa United of Botswana and AS Kigali of Rwanda.

KCCA FC played in group stages of both CAF confederation cup and Champions league in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

But in the previous edition, KCCA got knocked out on the first round of CAF Champions league by Petro de Luanda and got second chance in Confederation Cup against Otoho, again knocked out in second round.

The first leg preliminary round fixtures will take place on between 27-29 November and return legs on 4-6 December.

Meanwhile the first round fixtures will be played between 22-23 December 2020 for the first leg and 5-6 January 2021 for the second legs.

Defending Champions RS Berkane will start their title defence on the next round, when they take on the winner between AS Kahoum and Tevragh-Zeina.
