Kayondo’s home victory at Hunedoara in Romanian-League III

Mahad Kayondo, a Ugandan-born striker who recently joined Romanian club Asociatia Club Sportiv Ghiroda Vii has overtime proved his worth at the club. His performance has been improving each day at the club.

Kayondo also scored his maiden goal days after his recruitment at the club last month a convincing move that the striker is likely to add much more value to his team’s success.

On Saturday at the Hunedoara stadium, the club’s home, Mahad Kayondo exhibited a remarkable performance and greatly contributed to the club’s 4:1 victory as two of the goals were scored by him.

In the match where Asociatia overcame Avantul perian in the Hunedoara stadium. Cristian Paduriaru opened the scoring for the Asociatia club sportiv as early as the 2nd minute. Vidican brought the game level an equalizer at the 50th minute.

Padurarian restored Asociatia club’s lead in the 76th minute before Kayondo’s twin goals. This therefore made Padurarian and Kayondo the men of the match yesterday owing to their remarkable performance. The Ugandan has now scored four goals in five matches.

Furthermore, Mahad Kayondo is the brother to Vipers Sports Club’s roving left-back Azizi Kayondo. The two brothers are also under the management of Sepugy Inc Agency, a firm owned by former Uganda Cranes International.

Other players from Uganda under the same management include Abraham Ndugwa, Musa Matovu among others.
