Kaizer Chiefs part ways with Head Coach, Ernst Middendorp.

South African football club giants, Kaizer Chief, today 9. September 2020. Have parted ways with German born coach,

After a length period  meeting chaired by club chairman Kaizer Motaung involving club management reached to agreement to end Middendorp’s contract with one more year to end.

“We deliberated and considered many aspects related to the tea, including our way of playing, our performances and the results before coming to the decision.” Chairman Motaung confirms.

“We truly believed and hoped that our 50th anniversary year would be better and it’s indeed looked promising. The decision taken is part of strategy to have the team win trophies again and to make our supporters happy because they deserve better.” He added .

And his sacking mostly attributed to painfully losing the PSL title to Mamelodi Sundowns on the final day of the league, season 2019/20. after leading the 16 team table log 28 rounds.

Middendorp Joined Amkhosi on 7th December  2018 on two and half  year working contract, replacing Solinas Gianni.

And his first term Middendorp managed a 9th league finish, reaching on finals of Nedbank Cup and second season finished second in PSL and returning the team back to continental football to CAF Champions league despites losing the league title.

Ernst Middendorp’s replacement is set to be named soon as Motaung reassures the fans.

“We will announce the new coach before the team returns for pre season training. ”

Several reports from South Media are linking former Bafana Bafana forward Bendict McCathy to the job.
