Joseph Kizito has withdrawn his candidature from contesting for the Sports Club Villa Presidency.
SC Villa will head to polls this month of August, 28. 2021 to decide on the new club President and club Executive.
Kizito who is occupying the role of the Head of Communication at the interim committee which is managing club together with Busiro East Member of Parliament Medard Lubega Segona and Denis Mbidde Sebugwawo are the only people who had picked nomination forms and returned them to the Villa Electoral Committee who are in charge of handling the election process.
“After a series of consultation with different stakeholders, I hereby inform my supporters and the Villa fraternity at large of the withdrawal of candidature for the position of SC Villa President. Kizito asserted through his press release.
Despite the fact that Kizito has withdrawn his candidature from the race but he has confirmed that he will be backing Medard Lubega Segona and has offered a senior President position in his Executive.
“In the same vein, I have had discussions with Candidate Hon. Medard Lubega Ssegona and with the backing of my supporters, agreed to rally behind his Candidature.
“In the usual Villa spirit, I have opted to serve in another senior capacity in the Sseogna team as shall be subsequently revealed.
“I take this opportunity to thank those that endorsed my candidature and pledge my unwavering commitment to the SC Villa renaissance.”
