The creative midfielder, Isma Mugulusi is happy to be part of the National team set up again after a long term layoff due to a knee injury.

Mugulusi has been in rehabilitation after undergoing successful knee surgery which took place in Greece early this year.

And at the time of traveling he was signed by SC Villa, the transfer that raised a lot complaints from KCCA FC camp.

At SC Villa he did not kick a single ball as the current leadership at the helm of the club never thought that he was their player.

Uganda Cranes Head Coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Syredojevic summoned Mugulusi among the 40 players for African Nations Championship Qualifier games and he is delighted to be back on the national team.

“I thank the Almighty Allah for enabling me to return to my feet. I had a set back of a long-term injury but I managed to go through it mentally and physically and happy to be part of the National Team again.” He told Fufa website.

Mugulusi was part of the Uganda Hippos team which reached to the finals of U20 African Nations Championship in 2021.
