Ikpeazu Uche Mubiru will miss Uganda Cranes double header against South Sudan.

Uganda Cranes and Wycombe Wanderers’ ace forward, Ikpeazu Uche Mubiru will have to wait more time to make Uganda Cranes debut as knee injury rules him out of Uganda Cranes double header against South Sudan in 2022 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Mubiru sustained a knee injury during training sessions with his Club on Friday prior to the Nottingham forest encounter in the sky bet Championship.

He joins left back Alex Kakuba who is also out of the tie, because he tested positive for Covid-19 and he is into isolation.

Uganda Cranes will host the Bright Stars of South Sudan on 12th November 2020 at St Mary’s stadium and travel for a return leg on 16th November 2020 at Nyayo stadium in Kenya.

South Sudan contingent, composed of 32 people arrived yesterday Sunday at Entebbe Airport and is being accommodated at Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel Entebbe.

Meanwhile Ugnada Cranes shifted their base from training at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo to St Mary’s stadium Kitende were they are going to start their intensive training in today’s evening ahead of the Thursday game.

Seven foreign based players have already reported into the camp and these includes Derrick Nsibambi, Okwi Emmanuel, Kahalid Aucho, Allan Kyambade, Nicolas Wadada, Salim Jamal and Mike Azira.

And these will be joined by the seven local based on players which includes the following, Charles Lukwago, Patrick Mbowa, Shafic Kagimu, Dissan Galiwango, Karim Watambala, Brian Ahebwa and Halid Lwalila.

Uganda is leading group B, tied on points with Burkina Faso (4) and are on top because of a better goal difference.
