Go for Gunners Goals in Super Sunday Showdown

Arsenal’s title credentials will be given their toughest test of the season so far when Liverpool come calling at the Emirates.

The Gunners need a win to reclaim top spot after Man City swept aside Southampton on Saturday but they’ve a poor record in this fixture and are without a win in the last eight meetings (D3 L5), in fact they’ve won just one of their last 14 Premier League matches against the Reds.

But they’ll seldom have gone in to this clash in such good form over the past few years. Their tally of 21 points is their best haul after eight matches is their third-best start to a Premier League season.

Liverpool on the other hand have yet to win an away game this season and find themselves just inside the top half of the table. Roy Hodgson was the manager the last time they failed to win any of their opening four away matches.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that it “doesn’t look at the moment that they will be champions” but there’s still plenty of quality in his squad. The Reds strolled past Rangers on Tuesday but they’ll be posed far more questions by Jesus, Saka, Martinelli and the likes.

These clashes usually conjure memories of entertaining games but of late BTTS has failed to land in the last six meetings. Despite that the bookies have BTTS at just 1/2 this time round.

Both sides look capable of getting on the scoresheet and at the moment. Arsenal have scored two or more in all but one game this season and it’s 10/11 they do so once more.

Hearts took a bit of a doing at home on Thursday night as Fiorentina eased to a 3-0 win at Tynecastle but there’s reasons to be hopeful for a Jambos response today at Kilmarnock.

Robbie Neilson’s side’s form looks pretty desperate; LLWLLLWWLL – but three of those Ls were in Europe and two against Celtic and Rangers so it’s been a tough run of games lately. They go in to today’s game in seventh place and but that feels a false position. Bottom line is they’ve a significantly better squad than newly promoted Killie and if they turn up they should win in Ayrshire this afternoon.

That said, all seven of Kilmarnock’s points have been won at home this season and they’ve already beaten Hearts in the cup this season so there’s an argument to be made for Derek McInnes’ side but Hearts need to start picking up points on the road and at 5/4 look a backable price to do so.

For a banker Euro treble back Molde, Roma and Barcelona to win their respective matches at 5/4.
