“FUFA has appointed a technical team for Uganda Women National Senior team ‘Crested Cranes’ on a month interim basis. The team will be headed by Ayiekoh Charles Lukula, assisted by Eric Ndifuna and Olive Mbekeka.” Reads Fufa statement.

The other members on the technical team are; Stephen Kigundu (Goalkeeping), Felix Ayobo (Fitness Trainer), Mable Kabatalindwa (Doctor) and Darlian Kyasiimire (Physiotherapist).

The new appointments on Uganda Women’s senior National team comes at a time when Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi has been handling the team on interim and was in charge of the team as they missed out on successive qualification to Women African Cup of Nations at hands of Algeria.

Of recent, Abdallah Mubiru was appointed in the same capacity before turning it down.

The Crested Cranes national team has been without a head coach since George Lutalo was relieved off duties after 2022 Wafcon.
