Uganda football governing body (FUFA) have given a update on uncertainity of SC Villa’s 2021/22 season which is set to kick officially today, 15th October 2021.
SC Villa was extruded from the 2021/22 final fixtures of after failing to fill the vacant position of Club CEO by the time the fixtures we’re released.
The club is still facing the challenge of governance after failing to hold the elections which was supposed to unleash new club Executive board and it’s President.
Since then, Nsambya based outfit has appointed former club vice president, Mohammed Bazirengede as the new CEO.
But FUFA has confirmed that they have received communication from Club interim chairman William Nkemba on missing requirements of club licensing and their stand follows below.
“FUFA has received Communication from Mr. William Nkemba responding to some of the missing requirements for Club Licensing for the 2021/2022 season.”
“The Licensing Committee will meet on Tuesday 19th October 2021 to evaluate the provided and available information in accordance with the rules.”
“At the moment the Club Licensing Committee has not cleared SC Villa to play in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League until the Committee has evaluated the matter and advised accordingly.”
