Following the 96th FUFA general Assembly that sat on 17th October at Silver Springs Hotel Kampala Bugoolobi passed the budget of estimated 36, 095,753,881 for the financial year 2021.
There was an increment of 3,646,443,881 from the previous budget that was passed.
Majority of Budget fundings are expected to come from the central government, FIFA grants and sponsorships.
FUFA financial director Jullian Namuganga read the break down brfore the Assembly how the budget will be funded.
FIFA grant – 6,577,800,000
FIFA project – 2,692,680,000
FIFA solidarity – 1,140,000,000
Government – 11,917,940,881
Sponsorship – 8,917,940,000
CAF grant – 4,180,000,000
Others – 1,140,000,000.
71% of the budget will go on sports, 23% on Business and 6% on governance.
Finance director further explained that CAF grant will as well come from CHAN and AFCON Tv rights.
The FUFA 10 key focus area will take the following share .
Administration – 4, 861,160,000
Communications – 1,362,266,250
Competitions – 2,874,925,000
Football Development – 4,118,500,000
Governance – 1,355,280,000
Infrastructure – 2,910,130,000
Marketing – 2,049,000,000
Membership – 1,650,000,000
National Teams – 13,496,117,461
Office of the FUFA President – 633,200,000
Mr Haruna Mawanda moved the motion to pass the budget and Beach Soccer Chairman, Deo Mutabazi plus Patrick Lugemwa from Futsal seconded it.
The Assembly agreed that Kal associate should be granted another year as Auditors of FUFA.
