Federation of Uganda Football Associations – FUFA have confirmed dissolving the technical team of Uganda Crested Cranes headed by George Lutalo.
This was confirmed after the 27th FUFA Excom which took place on 31st August, 2022.
“The FUFA Executive Committee declared that the positions of the technical team of Crested Cranes have fallen vacant following the completion of their assignment for which they were appointed that ended with the WAFCON Finals in Morocco. FUFA will declare as and when the application process for the vacant positions starts.” Fufa statement.
Lutalo was appointed the Head Coach of Crested Cranes in September of last year, 2021 after Faridah Bulega had gone to Kenya for a coaching course.
Under Lutalo’s reign, Crested Cranes returned back to Africa Women Cup of Nations which were hosted in Morocco after 22 years since making debut at the tournament in 2002.
Lutalo guided the team to the triumph of 2022 Cecafa Senior Women Championship.
The former URA FC and Ondupraka FC coach has been working with Edward Kaziba and James Magala as Assistant coach and goalkeeping coach respectively.
