Fred Mwambu Quits Busoga United FC for personal Business.



A renown sports Journalist from Eastern Part of Uganda, Mwambu has left his role of Busoga’s as Public Relations Officer (PRO) for his personal Business.

Mwambu has been working under Communication department for Busoga United for three years.

He has thanked the Club President Mrs Diana Nyango, Players, Former Coaches, Media as he bids farewell to the Club.

“It is with deep sorrow and heavy heart that I announce my departure from the club’s communication department over active three years with club through the club relegation to a top four finish,” Reads part of statement Mwambu shared on his Facebook account.

“My special regards to go to the president Madam Diana Nyago, her executive, technical team, the players, my media comrades the special fan base and Fufa Communications director, Ahmed Hussein, for endless lectures I have learnt a lot, I apologise for short Comings,”

“It will be disservice if I don’t acknowledge in special way former Head Coach Ayiekoh Charles, Abbey, Zungu, former CEO Hassan Takoowa, and driver Lutaaya and the media partners for support,” He added

“As I go into ‘personal Business, I wish that club all the best, always count on my support cheers!” He Concluded

His quit comes barely days after Club Confirming Andrew Ndyabahinga as Busoga United Club new Chief Executive Officer replacing Takoowa Hassan.

With Club President Madam Nyago Diana already confirmed her candidatures for Njeru Parliament seat a head of 2021 Country general elections.

Besides that, the club is facing a terribly rough from the Kyabazinga kingdom who told the Club majority Shareholder Madam Nyango to strip off Busoaga’s name from the team quoting misappropriation of the shares of the team.
