Frank Kalanda ends second stint at Express FC.

Lanky striker Frank Kalanda and Express FC have officially parted ways after expiry of their two year contract.

“Express FC has parted ways with forward Frank Kalanda ‘Machete’ after two seasons at the club.” Reads club statement on club website.

It’s not the first time that Kalanda is leaving the ‘Red Eagles,had his maiden stint with Express FC in 2012-13 season before departing for URA FC the following season.

The carpenter rejoined Express FC in 2019 and inked a two year contract with Uganda Premier League reigning Champions.

For 2019/20 season he was Express FC’s top scorer with 9 goals.

Last season, Kalanda was limited to playing time due to stiff competition from compatriot striker Eric Kambale, he only managed 6 goals to his name.

In total Frank Kalanda played 52 games for the Express FC and scored 18 goals in all competitions in his two seasons with Express FC.

Kalanda has previously turned out for URA FC, Soana FC (Tooro United) and tried short professional football with Rwandaise outfit AS Kigali.
