Fazilah Ikwaput scored a brace against Rwanda to hand Uganda Crested Cranes perfect start this year’s Senior Cecafa Women Championship.
Lady Doves lethal striker scored in either half in the second game of the competition that was played at Njeru technical center.
The first game in group A, Burundi beat Djbouti (3-0) and they currently topping the group.
Ikwaput’s opening goal, she capitilised on Rwanda’s goalkeeper mistake after missing the ball which found well positioned Ikwaput to put the ball at the back of the net.
Then after 3 minutes into second half Ikwaput saw Rwandan goalkeeper off the line and looped over to double Crested Cranes lead.
Today 2nd June defending Champions will take on South Sudan and Ethiopia play Zanzibar in group B.
