Moroccan Botola outfit, FAR Rabat have appointed Belgian born coach, Sven Vandenbroeck as their next Head coach days after parting ways with Tanzania Mainland League giants Simba Sports Club on a two year contract.
The 41 year old replaces Abderrahim Talib at the Army financed side.
Sven Vandenbroeck’s immediate task to lift the Black Army from the 11th position they are currently occupying with 5 points to a better place. Last season they finished in 6th place.
Sven Vandenbroeck was assistant to re known Hugo Broos coach as Cameroon lifted their fifth African Cup of Nations title in 2017 which was held in Gabon. And later on was appointed as Zambia football national team coach but was fired after failing to guide them to 2019 Afcon.
He joined Simba SC in 2019 and managed to lift last season’s Vodacom Premier League title, winning the Tanzania Cup, Community Shield and guiding the Simba back to the group stages of CAF Champions league and are pitted in group A along side defending Champions, Al Ahly, AS Vita and Al Merrikh.
