Striker Fahad Bayo has completed his move to join Israel outfit Ashdod Football Club from Uganda premier league reigning Champions Vipers SC.
Ashod FC announced the capture of the calm and workaholic forward on a four years contract with the club and will keep him until 2024.
Fahad Bayo joined Viper sports Club in 2019 from Zambia club Buildcon Football and his 12 goals for last season guided the Venoms to their fourth league title.
He will be joining his country part and Uganda Cranes center back Timothy Denis Awany who featured for the Ashdod FC last season who joined them from KCCA Football Club.
Fahad Bayo becomes the third Ugandan player playing their trade in Israel topflight league, after Luwaga Kizito William extending his contract with Hapoel Kfar Saba Football Club.
His impressive performance with Vipers SC earned him a senior national team call up and scored on his debut against Malawi in a 2-0 victory at Namboole stadium as well as playing in the Cecafa tournament that was hosted in Uganda.
Ashdod FC finished in 8th position with 41 points from 33 games in 2019/20 season.
Fahad Bayo was heavily linked to join PSL side Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca but all miss on him.
He has previously featured for Proline FC and Buidcon FC before joining Vipers SC
