Isaac Mwesigwa, who left his player’s intermediary role and decided to take up the Chief Executive Officer Administrative role in Express FC, replacing Hamzah Junjju. Isaac has revealed the Club’s targets ahead of next season 2020/21.
Express FC started of by laying off eighteen players who were with the Club last season deeming them to surplus and handing Wasswa Bbosa a three permanent Contract.
Express FC have been one of the busiest UPL clubs in papers regarding with the transfers but on actual ground they have been silent and have not yet unveiled any new signing.
“We are silent in the media but we are doing a lot of work at the back, what I can say is that we almost 85% through done with our transfers, in the very near future we shall tell our fans the players we signed because we looking forward to getting players of new breed and that will give Express FC a very good outlook.” Isaac Mwesigwa told Uganda Sport
Last season Express FC managed a 9th position finish collecting 31 points from 25 games but new CEO want to improve on league position come next season.
“We want to improve in our position in the league and perform better than last last season, we want to compete for silverware, register new fans and lure them back to the stadium, Enhance Express FC brand because it is the biggest club in the club.”
He talked of the new PRO of the team Mr Tabu Peter who not yet confirmed by club but he is very optimistic that they will appoint him if he does fit for the job.
Express FC is being linked to many players and some deals are said to be done after loading their Captain to Vipers SC and some of the players they are linked to includes, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Isa Lumu, Fred Okot, Joel Mutakubwa, Sadam Juma, Nicolas Kasozi, Douglas Owori and Mahad Yaya.
