Express FC drawn against Al Merrikh in CAF CL Preliminary round.

The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League preliminary rounds draws were conducted today, 13th August 2021 for 2021/22 campaign.

Uganda Premier League Champions, Express FC have been drawn against Sudanese giants AL Merrikh.

The Red Eagles will host the first leg on the weekend of 10-12th September 2021 before traveling to Khartoum between dates of 17th – 19th same month.

If Express FC negotiates the first round  of preliminary, they face the winner between Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea and Zanaco FC from Zambia in the final round of Preliminaries.

Al Ahly FC are the defending Champions of this year’s competition but for them they will start at second round of Preliminaries.

Express FC are currently taking part in the regional organized club competition CECAFA Kagame Cup and they are on the final and playing Malawian club Nyasa Big Bullets tomorrow, Saturday 14th August 2021.

Express FC will host all their caf competition games at the home Uganda Premier League counterpart Vipers SC, St Mary’s Kitende.
