English Championship club, Middlesbrough FC are running after Uganda Cranes striker’s signature, Ikpeazu Uche Mubiru according to Gazette boro.
The big centre-forward is one of a number of strikers who feature on Neil Warnock’s list of possible targets as he looks to strengthen his forward line this summer.
The 26-year-old caught Warnock’s eye in impressive performances in both games against Boro last term as he provided a tough afternoon for Boro’s defenders in exactly the way Warnock wants his strikers to do next season.
Ikpeazu scored in a 1-3 home loss to Middlesbrough last season.
He featured in 31 games for chair boys last season in their maiden Championship season and scored 6 goals plus assisting in 3 goals.
His contract is left with two years to expire and it’s believed Wycombe Wanderers are not willing to let striker leave unless they table a good offer.
Wycombe is among the three teams ( other two Rotherdam and Sheffield Wednesday) that were relegated to the 3rd tier league, league one.
