Derrick Ndahiro hails Coach Basena as he departs SC Villa.

Derrick Ndahiro has confirmed his departure from the 16 times Uganda Premier League Champions Sports Club Villa after 3 years.

‘Small body big brain’ as fondly referred to by Joogo’s faithfuls and well wishers, the leftback  has praised his former Coach,  Moses Basena who gave him first opportunity to play in the top flight league in 2018.

He joined SC Villa from Kamokya FC a regional club and made his debut against URA FC in a 1-0 victory in the Pilsner super 8 tournament and this game ushered him on to the seen to those who didn’t know a splendid performance .

“About three years ago, Curtesy of Coach Moses Basena, I was brought to Villa Park. Over the years here, I have grown and become a better player. I am forever grateful to you Coach Moses Basena May God bless you richly.” Ndahiro Derrick wrote on his Facebook page.

Ndahiro Derrick is set to be unveiled at URA FC as negotiations and agreement are done.

“Sad as it is, this time has come to move on but I take with me many memories lessins and great movement that will live with me forever. I will be joining Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) a club which I think any to thank for the next opportunity they have given me.” He added.

Ndahiro Derrick has been one of the few players who have with with SC Villa since 2018/19 season when the interim Committee took over the club management from Ben Misaga after his four year term had ended.

At URA FC, he is expected to fill the void left by Brian Majwega who is eyeing move to KCCA FC.
