Daniel Shabena extends contract with Express FC.

Midfielder Daniel Shabena has extended his contract with the seven times Uganda Premier League Champions by more two years.

Shabena joined the Red Eagles in 2019 from BUL FC on a three year contract.

The new contract will see him play for Wankulukuku based outfit until 2024.

Since joining Express FC, Shabena has managed to win a league title and Kagame Cup.

“I’ve been apart of the red eagles since 2019 and leaving the club would mean a change in my desires.Express has what I want and it’s nice here. I’ve worked with the new coach and anyone one who loves making the game interesting would surely love to keep around.This is my 2nd Spell at Express FC so that means am here for more achievements and successes.” Shabena told club website.

Express FC is expected to lose a good number of players since most of the players they had last season have run out contract and retaining them would be very difficult because th club lost their main sponsor BetWay who decided to close businesses Uganda.
