Covid-19: Senegal becomes the latest African Country to cancel the league.

Due to globe outbreak of the Covid-19 which is caused by Corona Virus which has claimed lives of people and putting hold to several activities for quite some time including sports.

Some of the Affected countries have come out to put hold on their sports activities as they wait the situation to get better to resume their leagues while others including Uganda have opted to cancel their leagues.

And Senegal becoming the latest African country to cancel their topflight league for 2019/20 season due to the pandemic.

The Senegalese Football Federation after an executive meetin that convened on yesterday Wednesday agreed to cancel the Senegalese league 1 and rest of the competitions.

Teungueth FC were leading the 14 team table log with 33 points from 13 rounds played and Jaraaf coming second on 21 points.

Senegalese Football Federation had already submitted in Teungueth and jaraaf as their representative to CAF Champion League and CAF Confederation Cup respectively.

The next season is set to kick off in October 2020.

Senegal as a country have registered 7,784 corona Virus cases up-to-date with 143 deaths and 5,169 recoveries.

Among African Countries that have canceled their leagues due to the pandemic includes, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Uganda, Kenya ,Angola, DR Congo, Liberia and Senegal.
