Covid-19: FUFA postpones the remaining UPL Matches until further notice.

Uganda football governing body, FUFA has confirmed postponement of the top flight remaining fixtures untill further notice, this comes after His Excellence the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday Friday 18th while giving a national address on Corona Virus suspended all sports activities in the country  for aperiod of  42 days because of the surge rise in infections of the Covid-19 pandemic in the public.

“Following H.E of the republic of Uganda address to National on Friday 18th June 2021 on Covid-19 pandemic, new directives were issued,” Reads FUFA statement.

“FUFA wishes to announce that all StarTimes UPL matches scheduled for Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th have been postponed,

“FUFA will give further guidance of the remaining match days in the near future.

Uganda Premier League 2020/21 season was set to climax on 30th June and some have been left with 4 or 3 games to end their season.

Like last season were the league was cancelled with 5 games to end, FUFA decided to award Viper SC the title since they leading the table.

Express FC is still leading the the 16 team table league on 58 points and one point above tax collectors URA FC.
