City Oilers extended their unbeaten run to 17 games after easing past UPDF Tomahawks with a 75-50 win on Friday at Lugogo.

City Oilers have now won all their 17 games, and with KIU Titans, Our Savior, UCU Canons, JKL Dolphins and Ndejje still to come, the side is eyeing finishing the whole season unbeaten.

On Friday, the Oilers controlled the game from the word go and it wasn’t a surprise when they led 24-14 after the first quarter.

They continued to dominate and took a 43-25 advantage at the long break as UPDF continued to struggle at either side of the court.

They extended the lead to 28 points going into the last quarter, and despite a good improvement from UPDF in the fourth, damage had already been caused.

Jimmy Enabu was 6-for-9 on the court to score a game high 15 points while Tonny Drilleba’s 14 points and 8 rebounds earned him a player-of-match accolade.

Fayed Bbaale (11points), Titus Lual (12 rebounds) and Moses Maker (11 rebounds) reached double digits.

For UPDF, Andrew Gang and Arthur Wanyoto managed 14 and 13 points respectively in the loss.

The win means that UPDF has lost to City Oilers twice this season having fallen 53-87 in April.
