After Edouard Osoque Mendy completing his move to Chelsea from Rennes, making him the first African goalkeeper to play for the blues.
The Chelsea media team have come up with collections of African players that have played for Chelsea to make starting eleven out of it using 3-4-3 system.
New recruit, Edourd Mendy started between the goal posts with the backline consisting of Marcel Desaily who hails from Ghana but played for French national team and won the 1998 FIFA world cup plus 2000 Euro. He is placed at the middle pack of the backline three.
Former Nigerian player Celestine Babayaro (Nigeria) and Cameroonian Geremi Sorele Njitap (Cameroon) operating either side of Desaily.
The defensive Midfield protecting the backline is consisting of Claude Sinda Makelele who played for France team ahead of Zaire (DR Congo) and John Mikel Obi. With Micheal Essien (Ghana) and Solomon Kalou (Ivory Coast) joining them in the Midfield.

Then the front three includes 1995 FIFA player of the year and currently President of Liberia, George Weah Opongo partnering with Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast) and Samuel Fills Eto’o. (Cameroon)
Moses Victor (Nigeria), Ola Aina (Nigeria), Baba Rahma (Ghana), Batrade Traore ( Burkina Faso), Damba Ba (Senegal) and Hakim Ziyech ( Morocco), and Mohammed Salah all make the bench.
