Chan 2023 Qualifiers: Micho confirms two friendly Matches before facing Tanzania.

Uganda Cranes gaffer, Milutin Syredojevic Micho on Tuesday, evening confirmed two friendly Matches against Ethiopia before Cranes facing Tanzania in the final qualifying round of 2023 Total Energies African Nations Championship.

The first friendly match will be played on Friday, 19th August and second be played two days later.

“From 25th of July when we started preparations, I believe we have done a good job considering players were coming from off season. We now have to engage a polishing aspect and on Thursday, we shall be flying to Ethiopia where the team will play two friendly matches on Friday and Sunday.” Micho quoted by Fufa website.

Uganda Cranes was supposed to play Malawi in the next international friendly game but it fall out and they have opted to travel to Zanzibar island to acclomatise with the weather.

“It is unfortunate that we could not secure the friendly game against Malawi and thus we opted for plan B which is going to Zanzibar where we shall just acclimatize to weather conditions in Tanzania. We shall have a friendly match on Wednesday next week before facing Tanzania on Sunday.” Said Micho.

Uganda will face Tanzania in the first leg on 28th August at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium while the return leg will be played on 3rd September at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Uganda Cranes is seeking to qualify attain her sixth straight final tournament after missing the maiden in 2009 at Expense of Tanzania.
