Mali and Cameroon, first countries to reach on the semi finals of 2021 Total Africa Nations Championships.

Mali needed penalty shoot outs to eliminate Congo Brazaville (5-4) after playing to goalles draw in 90 minutes plus extra time at Japoma stadium in Douala.

Congo’s Prince Mouandzu placed the first penalty out before Julfin Ondongo, Hardy Binguila, Yann Mokombo and goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila converting theirs.

Meanwhile Mali players converted all their five penalty takes, Issaka Semake, Mussa kyabou, Makan Semabali, Mamadou Doumba and Mamadou Coulibaly.

Hosts Cameroon came from a goal down to knock out two times Champions (DR Congo) 2-1 to storm the semi finals.

Makabi Lilepo had given the Leopards of DR Congo a lead in 22′ through a header.

But later Yannick Ndjeng found the leveler in 29th minute after capitalising on Leopards’ goalkeeper, Matapi’s mistake.

Felix Oukine Tcheoude separated the two sides with 3 minutes into half time with a long range shot that had a slight deflection on DR Congo’s defender to give 2-1 lead to hosts.

Both teams maintained the haly time score in second half.

This means that Mali and Cameroon awaits their opponents in the semi finals.

In today’s quarter final fixtures, Morocco will play Micho’s Zambia and Rwanda play Guinea.
