Uganda Cranes has flown out to Saudi Arabia for a training camp over the last night (29th June 2021) aboard Qatar airways QR 1386 ahead of the forthcoming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup slated to kickoff on 17th July in Ethiopia.
The travelled contingent compromises of 25 players and 10 officials and FUFA Excom Member Rogers Mugisha is the leader of delegation.
According to FUFA website, the camp is being funded by Saudi Arabia Football Association and over there Uganda Cranes will hold two friendly matches with Saudi National Football team on 2nd July and 5 July 2021.
The Camp will be based in Riyadh as it intesifies on preps for the Cecafa tournament and world Cup qualifier games which kickoff in September .
Morley Byekwaso as the Head Coach of the team has named Express FC’s captain the reigning Champions of Uganda Premier League, Enock Walusimbi to lead the team.
