The Cecafa U20 2021 Total African Championships regional Qualifiers got underway on Sunday’s evening as defending Champions who also double as the hosts of this year’s tournament, Tanzania rallied from a goal down to humiliate minnows Djbouti, putting six goals past them at Black Rhino Academy ground.

Abdourahman Kamil scored in 14th minute of give Djbouti a half time lead.

Teps Theonasy levelled in 52′ before a successive goals from Abdul Hamis in 66′ and 71′ to put them at 3-1 score.

Khleffin Hamdoun and Kassim Haruna each added one in 82′, 88′ respectively before Abdul Hamis completing his hat trick at 90′ to end 6-1, at full time.

Tanzania leads group A with 3 points and next game is against Somalia on 26th November as Djbouti play Somalia on 24th.

Tomorrow’s games on 23rd November South Sudan will take on Uganda in group B and Ethiopia against Kenya in group C.

The winner of the tournament automatically qualifies to forthcoming 2021 Total U20 African Championships to be held in Mauritania.
