 CAF reschedules the Uganda U17 -Cameroon U17 duel in FIFA U17 women World Cup qualifiers.

Uganda Under 17 women team was set to play Cameroon U17 team for the final hurdle of FIFA U17 Women world Cup in May but due to the Covid-19 the fixture was suspended.

Uganda is among the six countries vying for final three spots meant for Africa.

The first leg of the fixture will take place between 30th October and 1st November and reverse fixture on 19 -21 November.

Uganda U17 women to reach at this stage edged Ethiopian and Tanzania on 5-1, 6-2 aggregate score respectively and if they win the Les Lioness over two legs, Uganda will be making history as they make their first appearance at world’s show piece.

But Uganda is facing one of the Continent’s powerhouse Countries in women football, having qualified in the last two editions of the Competition in 2016 (Jordan) and 2018 (Uruguay)

The final tournament will be hosted in India between February 17th and 7th March 2021.
