Egyptian giants Al Ahly will face South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs in today’s night (17th July) finals of 2020-21 Champions League which is going to be hosted in Morocco at complex Mohammed V stadium, Casablanca.

Al Ahly are the defending Champions of title having won it in the previous campaign and a win in today’s final will see them winning their record 10th title.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs are into the finals for the very first time and first time playing in the group Stages of the competition.

Pitso Mossimane who is looking forward to win his CAF Champions League third title as a coach had an easy pass to the finals as his Al Ahly beat Esperance de Tunis 4-0 on aggregate. In 2016 he won it with Mamelodi Sundowns.

And Baxter Stuart who joined the ‘Amakhosi’ on the semi final stage, after Gavin Hunt had been sacked for poor performance in the leaguL,  hold onto their nerves to beat Wydad Casablanca to reach on their maiden final on (1-0) aggregate.

If history is to go by in this year’s final, Al Ahly are miles away from reach compared to Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chief’s history in CAF continental football traces 20 years ago when they beat Interclubs to win CAF winners Cup in 2001.
