CAF disciplinary board has imposed fines to Democratic Republic of Congo Giants TP Mazembe and Moroccan Raja Casablanca for putting the game into disrupt the quarter final match of second leg in Lumumbashi in Congo.
“The CAF disciplinary Board via a video conference to discuss incidents from Total Caf champions league 2019/20 quarter final second leg between TP Mazembe (DR Congo) and Raja Casablanca Athletic ( Morocco) held on Saturday ( 7 march 2020) in Lumumbashi,” reads statement on CAF website CafOnline.com .
Here are decision taken by the Disciplinary board.
Following presentations by the General Secretary of Raja Club Athletic, Amis Mahamoud and payer Illiass Hadad, the disciplinary board decide as follows,
On Raja Casablanca.
” To impose a fine of 10,000 USD on Raja Club Athletic for the unfortunate behaviour of then players which resulted in the incidents of the TP Mazembe Spectators.”
” To lift provisional suspension on Illiass Hadad and caution him for unsporting behaviour.”
On TP Mazembe
“To impose a fine of 10,000 USD on T.P Mazembe for security failure during the match in question.”
Moroccan Club Raja Casablanca advanced to semi finals on 2-1 aggregate score despite a (1-0) loss at Stade Frederic Kibasa Maliba. And waits the semi final tie against Zamalek at not yet a confirmed venue.
