CAF CL: Al Ahly stun 10 man Esperance to book a date with Kaizer Chiefs in Grand final.

Record holders and defending Champions of this year’s CAF Championships league, Al Ahly had an easy pass against 10 man Esperance side in a second leg match played over last night (25th June ) at Al Salaam stadium in Cairo.

Alio Maalou converted from a penalty kick in 38th minute to give red devils a lead.

Prior to penalty given, Esperence defender IIyes Cheti was sent off after length checking VAR, when he fouled Mohammed Taher inside the box and being the last defender.

Mohammed Sheriff and Hussein Elshahat sealed the victory for the Egyptian giants in second half thus cemented a second successive final on a 4-0 aggregate.

South African giants Kaizer Chiefs held their nerves to draw with Wydad Athletics Club (0-0) at FBN Stadium in Johannesburg to qualify for their maiden final in the competition on first play in group Stages.

Amakhosi won the first leg (1-0) which was played in Morocco.

Al Ahly extend their record appearance in the final to 14 times and looking forward to win their record 10th title.

The grand finale will be played on 17th July 2021 at Stade Mohammed V, Morocco.
