KCCA FC 3 – 1 AS Kigali |Agg: 3-3|

Brian Ahebwa scored a hat-trick as spirited KCCA FC’s failed to make to the next stage of CAF Confederation Cup at hands of Rwandan AS Kigali in a game played at St Mary’s Stadium.

AS Kigali advanced to the second round of the competition on away goals as the game had tied on aggregate (3-3) after CAF awarding a walk over in the first leg in favor of AS Kigali after KCCA failing to raise a required number of players to play the game.

Brian Ahebwa who joined the 13 times league Champions opened the scoring as early as first minute to cut a 2-0 deficit to 2-1 before doubling the lead in 36th minute to get game level 2-2 on aggregate.

Muhadjiri Hakizimana reduced KCCA FC’s lead to 2-1 with five minutes into second half, after converting a penalty which resulted from Musa Ramathan making a foul on in a forbidden area.

Brian Ahebwa completed his hat-trick in 76th minute but was not enough to spur the team to next level as they bow out on away goals rule after game leveling (3-3) and AS Kigali Making through to the second round.

Like last season KCCA FC didn’t make it to group stages of this competition when they got knocked out at hands of AS Otoho.

KCCA FC focus turns on winning the league next season and performing better in Uganda cup.
