Uganda Premier League Jinja based club, Busoga United has exited Kirinya Jinja SS playground and moved to Kakindu stadium ahead of 2020/21 season.
“The management of Busoga United FC is delighted to profoundly move this Official announcement for change of home stadium from The Mighty Arena Jinja SS to Kakindu stadium for the forthcoming 2020/21 season.” Reads part of press release by the Club.
Busoga United has been hosting games at The Mighty Arena stadium for the past two seasons and attained their best league finish (4th position) while hosting their games in that stadium.
Kakindu municipal stadium is owned by Jinja Municipal Council and located in Jinja town, it housed a number of Uganda Premier League clubs before such as BUL FC, and JMC FC.
FUFA licensing board banned the Kakindu stadium from hosting top flight league games due to its poor state and it has been under renovation.
Ugnada Premier League 2020/21 season is set to kick start 20th November 2020.
