BUL Football Club beat Viper SC (3-1) to lift ever Stanbic Uganda Cup title on the final played at Masindi Stadium.
Karim Ndugwa broke the deadlock on 27th minute before Simon Peter Oketch doubling the lead 4 minutes to halftime.
Karim Ndugwa completed his brace on 51st minute to make it 3-0 up before Vipers’ captain Halid Lwaliwa getting the consolation through a header on 70th minute.
The Isabirye coached side maintained a 3-1 score until the final whistle to deny Vipers SC season double.
This was Isabirye’s third title as a coach having won it before twice with URA FC (2012) and SC Victoria University (2013).
BUL FC won the title plus 50 Million Ugx as prize money from the competition’s sponsors Kansai Plascon and Stanbic bank.
Karim Ndugwa was the topscorer with 9 goals to his name.
Walter Ochora was named the best defender as his two counterparts in Simon Peter Oketch and goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa were named best Striker and goalkeeper of the tournament respectively.
BUL FC will represent Uganda in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
