Brentford FC confirm Jayden Onen exit

Brentford FC have released the Midfielder Jayden Onen on a free transfer, the club confirmed on Monday.

Ugandan player, Jayden Onen is among the eight players released by English Championship Club Brentford FC.

“Brentford FC can confirm that nine players have not been offered new contracts, striker Justin Shaibu will be leaving The bees after four years in west London . Brent Ford B players Reece Cole, David Titov, Matej Majka, Johnny Mitchell, Nick Tsaroulla, Jayden Brissentt and Jayden Onen have also left Griffen park. Their contracts expired on 30th June and were not renewed.” reads Statement on Club’s website.

The 19 year old attacking midfielder has been playing for Brent Ford B team for 2019/20 seasons, amassing to 30 games he played for the team with three goals to his name.

Jayden Onen played for Arsenal FC, Brighton and Hove Albion under age teams.

He received the Uganda Cranes national team call up through Johnny Mcknistry ahead of the double tie with Bright stars of South Sudan in African Cup of Nations qualifier that was slated to take place late March this year before being halted by CAF due to Covid 19.
