Uganda Cranes and Scottish premier league club Motherwell FC versatile defender, Bevis Mugabi has sustained an injury of shoulder dislocation during training according to his parents’ club.
After a successful Dubai camp with Uganda Cranes during the international break, Mugabi returned to Scotland.
“It is a blow to lose Bevis,” manager Stephen Robinson told the club website.
“He has played his way into the team and acquitted himself very well.
“He just seems to be unfortunate that when he gets a run of games, he suffers an injury.”
Mugabi is set to out closely to four weeks or six weeks and could miss Uganda Cranes double header against South Sudan in the upcoming African Nations Cup qualifiers next month.
Uganda will host the first fixture against South Sudan on 14th November at St Mary’s stadium, Kitende and return leg on 16 November 2020 at Nyayo stadium (Kenya).
With Motherwell Mugabi could miss St Mirren (Mirren), Ross County (Home) Livingston (Away) Celtics (Home), St Johnstone (Away) and Hibernian (Home) games.
