Uganda Cranes versatile defender, Bevis Mugabi was off the mark for Motherwell FC as they clinched a simple win over inform Aberdeen FC in the Scottish premier league at Pittodrie.
Mugabi finished off a well weighed corner kick by Polworth in 22th minute to score his first goal, on his 17th competitive game for ‘The Well’.
“Today was a brilliant result for us. It was nice to get my first goal and start climbing the table.” Bevis Mugabi said after scoring his first goal.
Mark O’Hara opened the score as early as 4th minute when he converted from 12 yard to put Motherwell FC in the lead before Christopher Long doubling the lead after 4 minutes to make it (0-2) and former Southampton defender putting the last nail to end it (3-0) at half time break.
They played to a barren stalament in 2nd half.
Motherwell FC was clinching their second and consecutive win after eight rounds of play in the 2020/21 Scottish premier league season. And maiden win came against St Johnstone last weekend.
Motherwell are placed in 8th position with 8 points, having won 2, drawn 2 and lost 4.
Motherwell next game will be on next week on Sunday 27. September 2020 against Rangers at home.
Bevis Mugabi joined Motherwell on 12. September last year from Yovil Town on initial short six month contract, but later on in November his stay was extended until June 2021.
