The 2014 Tanzania Mainland League Champion, Azam FC have unveiled the former Zesco United and Young African Head Coach, George Lwandamina as Romanian Aristica Cioba’s replacement.
Lwandamina signed a one year contract with ice cream makers.
The Chamazi based outfit mutually agreed to terminate the contract they had with Aristica Cioaba after a home 1-0 loss to current table leaders, Young African.
Lwandamina immediately takes the charges from Vivier Bahati, who has been working as interim coach.
By the time of Lwandamina’s appointment, he had assumed the Technical Director role at Prisons Leopards a fortnight.
This is not the first time that former Zambian National team coach will be coaching in the Tanzania top-flight league, he had a stint with Young African between 2016 – 2018.
But he had previously coached Green Baffaloss, Mufulira wanderers and Zesco United.
Young African is currently leading the 20 team table league with 31 points and 5 points a head of Azam FC from 13 league outings.
And Lwandamina first game in charge will be against Gwambina FC on the road on 14th December 2020.
Azam FC is housing Uganda Cranes right back, Nicolas Wadada.
