AWCON Qualifiers: Crested Cranes beat Ethiopia to carry advantage ahead of return leg.

Uganda Crested Cranes 2 – 0 Ethiopia WT.

Uganda women national football team the Crested Cranes beat Ethiopian Women team to carry a two goal lead advantage ahead of the return leg which is slated to take place in Ethiopia in the Qualifiers of 2022 Africa Women Nations cup.

Reticia Nabbosa scored as early as 2nd minute to hand Lutalo’s coached a lead.

Kampala Queens forward and U20 national Women team captain Fauzia Najjemba doubled the lead in 75th minute with a super header that beat advancing Ethiopian goalkeeper.

This was the first leg played at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende and aecsec leg slated to take place next week and the winner on aggreagate will see her play in next stage of qualification.

Crested Cranes line opponents at the next stage, Kenya humiliated South Sudan with a whopping 8-0 victory the game that was played at Nyayo stadium, Nairobi.

Crested Cranes XI, Ruth Aturo, Viola Namuddu, Sumaya Komuntale, Aisha Nakibuka, Shadia Nankya, Joan Nakirya, Reticia Nabbosa, Hasifa Nasunna, Fauzia Najjemba, Sandra Nabweteme and Margret Kunihira.
