Monday was the day when Israel premier league kicked off after a long pause due to the long COVID-19 break. The league resumed with 2 games that are Ashdod SC V Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Kfar Saba v Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv.

Ashdod SC defeated Maccabi Petah 1-0 at the Yud-Alef stadium. While there, Uganda cranes defender Timothy Awany played full time for Ashdod SC. However former Vipers striker, Fahad Bayo Aziz remained on the bench throughout the match. Nevertheless, Ashdod registered a narrow victory with their only goal being scored by Nenad Cvetkovic.
Meanwhile, at Levita Stadium, Hapoel Kfar Saba rallied against Bnei Yehad in a 3-1 victory with their first goal being scored by William Kizito Luwagga. Kfar Saba later won a penalty and finally striker Or Dasa who scored their third goal. Luwaga substituted Frenchman Amadou Soukouna in the 56th minute and by the time he got in the pitch Kfar Saba was still 1-0
Still yesterday, Ugandan players registered remarkable performance elsewhere and these include; Alexis Bakka who played 54 minutes for Degerfors that nailed Umea FC 6-0 in the Swedish 2nd tier.
Finally in Egypt, Derick Nsibambi also featured 62minutes in Smouha’s 2-0 win over Al-Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.
