Kiboga will vie with Ndejje University, Kitaka will battle Kitara in the semi-finals thereafter the winners of the semi-finals will square up for finals.
The arena for the promotional playoffs to determine the 16th club has been proposed by FUFA as the FUFA Technical centre, Njeru.
This was approved by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) first vice president Justus Mugisha yesterday while officiating the 7th annual general assembly of the FUFA Super League Limited (FSLL) held at Ridar Hotel in Kampala.
We shall have the playoffs at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru. The dates are yet to be confirmed by the FUFA competitions department because as you are all aware we are still engaging the government on how football can safely return.” Said Mugisha
The general assembly was attended by 15 other representatives not leaving out the national council of sports deputy secretary-general (in charge of administration) Titus Kayigwa and the FUFA competitions director Aisha Nalule among others.
Mugisha added that the playing licenses from the 2019-2020 season will be used even though some players have been transferred to other clubs.
“Because we had a pandemic the player’s licenses from 2019-2020 will be used in the playoffs.” He noted.
The FUFA vice president also hinted on the federation`s keynote areas as infrastructure, resource mobilization, good competitions engaging sponsors and collaborating with clubs to help with stadia lighting system.
Uganda People`s Defence Force (UPDF) and Malaba youth Development Association (MYDA) are already confirmed, the clubs will be known after the playoffs.
At the time, FUFA has extended the kick-off date for the 2020-2021 Uganda Premier League and also has pushed the licensing process for a month.
