Anthony Ssekito happy with Kitara FC’s draw against Kyetume, sets sight on next game.




Uganda Premier League 2020/21 campaign debutants Kitara FC kicked off their season in the top flight football as they salvaged a point of the Slaughters (Kyetume FC) in the game played in the afternoon of Saturday 5th December at Fufa Technical center Njeru.

Sharif Saaka had given the Kyetume FC a lead in 26th minute before Kitara FC danger man, Brian Mayanja bringing back the game at level (1-1) in 55th minute.

Kitara FC started off the game with only nine (9) players because of the delay of the licenses of other players.

Former Paidha Black Angels tactician now Head coach of Kitara FC, Ssekito Anthony is happy with a draw and has set sight on their next game against UPDF FC at home as he promises a better organized team.

“We staged a gallant fight and I thank the players. We have two days to the second game and we shall further organize our house in order.” Anthony told the club website after the game.

Kitara FC is among the three Clubs that earned promotion to top tier league and the other two includes UPDF FC who are on top of the table after a comprehensive 3-0 victory over troubled Busoga United.

MYDA FC is the only new commer who are not yet to kick ball after their game against Vipers was rescheduled due to CAF engagements.
