BUL Football Club new signing and former SC Villa midfielder, Ambrose Kirya, while talking to ndibba.com did reveal his best and worst moment while still putting on the blue and white jersey of the most successful Club in the country.
He says his best moment is when Villa did a come back against Arch rivals Express FC during a league game in 2015 and Fus Rabat (7-0) humiliation in the Confederation cup in 2016 as his worst moment.
“I always say this that my best moment at SC Villa is when Villa did a come back after trailing by two goals down in six minutes at Nakivubo stadium, and we came from behind and won the game by three (3) goals and I myself scored a brace in that game. Ambrose Kirya told Ndibba.com.
“And my worst moment is when we lost against Fus Rabat in Morocco (7-0).”
When asked why he snubbed Express FC for BUL FC, this want he had to say.
“BUL FC gave me a better offer and it’s a home based team with good intentions of wining a Uganda Premier League trophy.” He said.
Ambose Kirya again hinted on why he served long for SC Villa despite being in woes all the time.
“SC Villa has been like my home to me so I don’t regret serving it for all that long.” He added.
Ambrose Kirya joined SC Villa in 2015 from Jinja Municipal Council Hippos before crossing over to Jinja based team BUL FC.
When all the SC Villa team sqaud that came close to wining the 2017/18 UPL title, him and other three players ( Joseph Nsubuga, Samuel Kivumbi and Samson Kirya) are the ones who remained at the Club when the Club changed the governance.
Coach Moses Basena named him the team Captain in 2018 before relieving off the duties and handed the armband to Assuman Harishe.
