Africa T20 Cup: Miyagi, Kyewuta Out – Cricket Cranes Squad Revealed

The Cricket Cranes opening bowlers Cosmos Kyewuta and Juma Miyagi will not be part of the team that will travel to Nairobi, Kenya for the Africa T20 Cup due to get underway on 9th June at the Gymkhana Cricket Ground.

Miyagi has been forced to sit out this trip because of a back injury he suffered three weeks ago while Kyewuta misses out due to his ongoing trials in
South Africa.

The selected 14-man squad includes debutants Siraje Nsubuga and Robinson Obuya. It also includes returnees in pace bowler Hassan Bilal and all-rounder Dinesh Nakrani.

Nakrani last played for Uganda last year in August during the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B that was held in Jersey while Hassan missed the Bilateral Series that happened in Qatar in March.

Hassan and Riazat Ali Shah will in the absence of Miyaji and Kyewuta, open the bowling for Uganda.

Kenya Open the tournament against Botswana on 9th June, but the Cricket Cranes will face Tanzania on June 10, the same day the Victoria Pearls will face Kenya at the Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament in Kigali Rwanda.
