AFCON 2023Q: Change of Venue for Algeria – Uganda Cranes tie.

5th July 1962 stadium.

The venue that will host Algeria varsus Ugandacranes 2023 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers have been changed from Oran Olympic Stadium to 5th July 1962.

 

“UgandaCranes first game of the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers Slated for 4th June 2022 has been changed to Algeria’s Capital Algiers at the 5 July 1962 Stadium not Oran as earlier communicated. FUFA statement.

Last information linked that Algerian football federation had requested CAF to approve their change of Venue that will host their group F Afcon Qualifiers openner.

5th July Stadium is a 85,000 seater stadium and hosted a 1990 African Cup of Nations tournament that was played in Algeria.

Algeria will take on Uganda cranes on 4th June 2022 before they play Tanzania in Dar essalam four days later and on the same date will be playing Niger at St Mary’s stadium.

Currently Uganda Cranes is camping in Tunisia and the camp will last four days before they travel to Algeria.
