Three times African Cup of Nations winners, Nigeria gave away a 4 goal lead to draw with the Sierra Leone during the match day three of 2022 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers game played in evening of Friday.

Former Arsenal FC forward now playing for Everton FC grabbed a brace as he scored in 4th and 27th minute.

Napoli winger Victor Osminhen and Samuel Chuckweze also scored for Nigeria to a give them a 4-0 goal lead before Kwame Quee reducing the lead to 4-1 with one minute left to end first half.

Sierra Leone returned into second half strongly putting more three goals to draw 4-4, with Al Hadji Kamara bagging a brace and Mustafa Bundu appearing on score sheet.

Nigeria mises a chance of becoming the first second country to confirm their ticket in the final tournament in Cameroon 2022 after hosts.

Both countries will lock horns in Sierra Leone again on Tuesday 7th November 2020 for a reverse fixture.

Despite a draw, Rohr’s coached side is still leading group L with 7 points and Sierra Leone on 2 points as they wait on the result from Benin versus Lesotho game.
