Chairman – AFC Leopards (Dan Shikanda)

The chairman of AFC Leopards (Kenya) Dan Shikanda has promised house each to player (30) in Nairobi if they win the FKF Kenya Premier League 2020/21 season and the offer is there for grab for two seasons.

He confirmed this while talking to the Goal.com.

Abaluhya Football Club Leopards as simply abbreviated AFC Leopards last tasted a league title 22 years ago in 1998 season and since then they have failed to break more than a 2 decade jinx.

“We have given the players a very good offer if they win the league this season we will give them a house in Nairobi and if they retain the title again next season, we will also give each of them another house,” Shikanda said before adding.

“We managed to pay the players their salaries during the Covid-19 break [when they were not playing any football], and in the same breath we want to tell them if they win the league this year, the title will go to AFC Leopards and they will each get a house in Nairobi.

“If they give our fans and our community the title, which we have not won for 22 years, I want to state clearly that each of them will get a house in Nairobi, and the offer is valid for two years, this year and next year, and there are serious people behind the plan including myself.”

AFC Leopards has won 12 league titles and 6 trophies are separating them with their fierce arch rivals, Gor Mahia who are a head of them. And those titles have come in the space of time when Igwe last won their 12th title.

The five times Cecafa Champions are current occupying the 4th position on 18 team table log, standing on 15 points from 7 games played.

Uganda Cranes gloves man Benjamin Ochan is likely to benefit from the offer if what had been promised is delivered.
