AFC Leopards appoints new Head Coach.

The 13 times FKF Kenya Premier League Champions, AFC Leopards have officially appointed Belgian born Coach Patrick Aussems as their new head coach, replacing Czech republican Tomas Trucha.

He joins the Club after a successful stint at Tanzania’s Simba SC where he guided Simba S.C. to the Tanzanian Premier League title in 2018/19 and reached the quarter finals of the CAF Champions League.’ reads club statement.

55 year old coach holds a UEFA Pro coaching license and has handled a couple of African teams, such as Al Ahilal Omdurman of Sudan, Simba SC of Tanzania and in 2014 guided AC Leopards of Congo Brazaville to the semi finals of Confederation Cup.

He takes over from Anthony Kimani who has been working on the interim basis since Trucha threw in the towel.

Patrick arrived in Kenya on Saturday to finalise the deal and was in stands when AFC Leopards shared spoils with Gor Mahia in Mashameji derby on Sunday.

His first game in charge will be against Taita Taveta All stars in the FKF Cup.
